This is one of my entries into a macro contest whose theme was the colors in the Ukraine flag. I used a Laowa 100mm 2x Macro Lens set at f/8 -- it's a manual lens with no electronics. 15 photos shot in RAW, stacked using HeliconFocus. Other software: Apple Photos, Topaz Sharpen, Lightroom. American Eagle 1997 One-Half Ounce Gold Proof Coin features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ iconic full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The obverse features a stunning portrayal of an eagle. The lens used was a Laowa 100mm, f/2.8, macro 2x set at f/8. Camera -- Nikon Z6ii.
This was one of the first photos I took with my Nikon Z 100-400mm lens with a 2x teleconverter. I took the photo through a 2nd floor window and was handholding the camera -- Nikon Z6ii.
This is a composite photo of individual photographs of the sun and moon combined into one photo. The photo of the sun required a solar filter. Both photos were taken with a telephoto lens at 800mm (Nikon Z 100-400mm Zoom at 400mm plus a 2x teleconverter). Camera -- Nikon Z6ii.
I was trying to come up with some macrophotography ideas using the rainbow of colors. I shot the photos in RAW, stacking 6 photos to make sure everything was in focus. Equipment was a Nikon Z6ii, a Laowa 100mm 2x macro lens set a 1:1, and one Adaptalux LED white lighting arm. Settings were ISO 1,000. f/8, 13 seconds. Software was HeliconFocus, Topaz Sharpen and Apple Photos.
A friend gave me a piece of agate (a mineral) and I was pleasantly surprised at all the colors and patterns within the structure. Photo was shot at 1x using a 105mm Nikon 1x macro lens, in RAW, three photos stacked. Post-processing included HeliconFocus for stacking, Lightroom for minor adjustments to color and sharpness. 50 years ago, my grandfather gave my bride and I some Christmas Balls to hang on our first Christmas Tree. To add some magic I placed one of the bells on a piece of glass and swirled some miniature LED Christmas lights around it. I took 63 photos before I had one whose light path complemented the Christmas Ball. Camera: Nikon Z6ii.
I put some marbles in water and waited 24 hours for the bubbles to form, then removed the background bubbles, final photo was a composite of 64 stacked images. Post-processing included HeliconFocus software for stacking and minor adjustments in color and sharpness. Camera -- Nikon Z6ii.
The Vincent Thomas Bridge is a 1,500-foot-long suspension bridge, crossing Los Angeles Harbor in Los Angeles, California, linking San Pedro with Terminal Island. It is the only suspension bridge in the Greater Los Angeles area.
